Multimedia installations at the Tula State Museum of Arms
The final part of the Tula State Museum of Arms exposition opened on the 8 december 2017.. The Visuals Team elaborated multimedia for the third and forth expositional levels.

We designed installations and elaborated the content, delivered and installed the equipment. We launched and continue to support the installations.

A primitive spear transforms into a liquid metal flow.
Hardening, one part of the flow takes a sculptural form of Saint George, Russian lands defender, and the other part turns into a dragon, a collective image of Russian enemies.


Plot


A series of videos tells about twelve great battles of Russian Army: from the Battle of Kulikovo to the Battle of Berlin. Content is demonstrated on the reverse projection screens.

We synchronised the beginning and ending of each video to make it easier for visitors to move from one screen to another.

The exhibits of the museum's third-level are dedicated to the period from the Second World War till today.

The Visuals team enriched the exposition with interactive installations that help visitors to navigate in the diversity of weapons, learn their history and take a glance into the future.

Soldier of the future
A soldier's equipment is shown in action – the way the enemy's detection devices work, the suit's abilities in critical situations and its synchronization with a weapon.
A digital copy of the Kalashnikov rifle is situated next to a real exhibit.

A digital rifle can be disassembled and assembled, each detail "describes" itself. You can look inside the sample and see the mechanism work principle from pulling the trigger to the bullet exit.

THE RIFLE IS SHOWN FROM ALL SIDES AND FROM THE INSIDE
We built multimedia equipment in a real Mi-8 cabin without violating the original construction. Thanks to a mobile platform that enhances the feeling of the reality of flight, content allows visitors to try a pilot's place during the combat mission.

Pilots get information about the route and mission by a radio transceiver. Players need to stay attentive, unexpected plot twists await them on their way.

Weapon encyclopedia
Interactive guide of the mid-XX - early XXI century. Comparison of the weapons according to their technical characteristics.
Construction

Unified table design, inscribed in the exposition. We made the construction from an artificial stone so that it could stand more visitors.

Encyclopedia is enriched with a section of the future technology. Basing on real designs we created fantasy tank, plane and ship 3D models.
